Take a look at our first sculpture submission!  We're very happy to have Alfred Paredes create this masterful bust of none other than our favorite Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.  You'll probably notice that this Dumbledore doesn't possess his usual sense of intensity, but exhibits a gentler, happier expression...probably during his pre-Voldemort days. There will be about 5 of these limited edition unpainted resin kits available during the show in July 9th, where the final painted version of Dumbledor will be feautured. But the preview below is just a little taste of what to expect at our exhibition!

Answer to Trivia of the Day:

Bellatrix is first cousin to Sirius Black.  If you look at the Black family tree, Bellatrix's father (Cygnus Black) is the brother of Sirius's mother (Walburga Black), who if I'm reading the tree right, married a distant relative of the Black family (Ohrion Black).  How surprisingly incestuous...

Hope everyone had a chance to watch The Deathly Hallows!  Here's another wonderful piece by Bob Doucette.  Mr. Doucette is a multi-talented artist who's worked on various projects, ranging from painting to writing to puppeteering.  He illustrates excellent caricatures, such as this and the one of Albus Dumbledore, which we posted on June 11, 2010.

His depiction of the evil Bellatrix Lestrange is impeccable.  Bellatrix is Lord Voldemort's most loyal servant and possess a most unhealthy obsession over him.  Just look into her eyes and you can almost feel her insanity.

The Dementors in Azkaban got nothing on her!
